SPS Endowment Fund:

The SPS Endowment Fund was established to support programs and projects that enrich the educational experience for students.

How does the SPS Endowment Fund work?

The focus of the Fund is the annual teacher mini grant awards. The Fund and its advisory committee are committed to funding larger projects as well.

· Grant awards are capped at $500.00; however group proposals may be eligible

for a larger award.

· Larger, special grant awards may also be awarded!

· Applications are due in the late fall annually and are available school site (teacher “j” drive).

· Since inception of the Fund every building and every grade level has benefited from grants from the SPS Endowment Fund!

Growth = More grant opportunities!

Annual contributions of staff, administration and the community along with investment performance have brought about steady growth in the Fund. The formula is simple: the greater the asset value of the Fund the greater the grant opportunities are for teachers and their students!

· Payroll deduction-this option is available to staff members who would like to support education through the fund via payroll deduction. Please contact the business office of the Foundation for more information!

Gifts are fully tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. The SPS Endowment fund can receive a wide variety of immediate and deferred gifts such as cash gifts, gifts of stock, bonds or real estate, or naming the fund in a will or trust.

Sturgis SUCCESS Endowment Fund:

The Sturgis SUCCESS Endowment Fund provides long term support for the local college access network for Sturgis students and their families, including scholarship awards for SHS students.
