Sturgis Community Pool

Welcome to the Sturgis Community Pool, a place for our entire community to swim, learn, stay active, and connect. From a child’s first swim lesson to competitive swimming, diving, fitness, and recreation, we offer opportunities for all ages and abilities.

As part of Sturgis Public Schools, our commitment to the community extends beyond the classroom. We’re proud to provide a welcoming space where students, families, and community members can build lifelong skills, support their health and wellness, and simply enjoy time in the water.

Something for Everyone

Whether you’re here to swim, stay active, learn a new skill, or spend time together, there’s something for you at the Sturgis Community Pool. Explore our programs and find your way to enjoy the water.

  • Enjoy relaxed, family-friendly pool time for swimming, playing, or simply having fun in the water. Open Recreation is available for all ages and abilities.

    Open Recreation Hours
    Monday–Friday: 1:00–4:00 p.m.
    Wednesday: 7:00–8:00 p.m.
    Friday: 7:00–8:30 p.m.
    Saturday: 2:00–4:00 p.m. (beginning April 11, 2026)

    Seniors (62+): $4

  • Build confidence, strengthen swimming skills, and become more comfortable in the water with lessons for children and adults.

    Youth Swim Lessons

    Structured swim lessons are available for children from 6 months through high school, with instruction based on age and swimming ability. Lessons are 30–45 minutes long. A parent or other adult is required to participate in classes for very young children.

    Lesson times and fees are determined each session.

    Adult Swim Lessons

    It’s never too late to learn to swim or improve your skills. Adult lessons are customized to your current ability, whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to improve your technique. Our instructors focus on confidence, water safety, and helping you reach your personal swimming goals at a pace that works for you.

    Cost: $20 per 30-minute lesson

  • Whether you prefer swimming laps or working out with a group, the pool offers several ways for adults to stay active.

    • Adult Lap Swim
      Dedicated lap-swim time is available for adults of all swimming abilities.
      Daytime Hours | Monday–Friday: 7:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m.
      Evening Hours |Monday, Wednesday & Friday: 7:00–9:00 p.m.
      Pool space is shared during evening hours.
      Admission | Members: Free; Adults: $5; Seniors (62+): $4
      If Sturgis Public Schools cancels classes due to weather or other circumstances, Adult Lap Swim will begin at 10:00 a.m.
       
    • Water Aerobics
      Enjoy a low-impact water workout designed to improve strength, flexibility, and overall wellness. All fitness levels are welcome.
      Morning: Monday, Wednesday & Friday, 7:00–8:00 a.m.
      Evening: Monday & Wednesday, 8:00–9:00 p.m.
      18-Class Punch Card | Members: $25; Non-Members: $50
      Morning Water Aerobics is canceled when Sturgis Public Schools cancels classes due to weather or other circumstances.
       
    • Adult Fit Flow: Pool + Dryland
      This 45-minute interval workout combines swimming and dryland exercises for a full-body challenge. Set to music and designed for all fitness levels, Fit Flow helps build strength, endurance, and flexibility.
      Tuesday & Thursday: 6:00–6:45 a.m.
      10-Class Punch Card | Members: $25; Non-Members: $50
  • Take swimming to the next level with the Stingray Travel Swim Club. Young swimmers can strengthen their skills, experience competitive swimming, and become part of a team. 

    For each new season, Stingray Swim Club has free tryouts. To participate in tryouts, swimmers must be able to complete freestyle and backstroke:

    • Ages 8 & Under: 1 length of the pool in each stroke
    • Ages 9 & Over: 2 lengths of the pool in each stroke

    Returning Stingray Swim Club members do not need to try out again.

  • Learn the fundamentals of springboard diving or take your existing skills to the next level. Lessons are available for beginner through advanced divers in a supportive and encouraging environment.

    Our experienced instructor helps participants develop proper diving fundamentals, improve technique, build confidence, and progress toward more advanced skills and dives.

  • Make your next celebration, gathering, or event a little more memorable at the Sturgis Community Pool.

    Birthday Parties

    Birthday party rentals include one hour of swimming followed by 30 minutes in the lobby, where you're welcome to bring food, drinks, and cake for your celebration.

    Saturday Party Times:
    12:30–2:00 p.m. — $100
    4:00–5:30 p.m. — $100

    Additional times and extended durations may be available upon request.

    Private Pool Rentals

    The pool is also available for family gatherings, private celebrations, classes, workshops, and other group activities.

    Rental Rate: $75 per hour

    Additional times and extended rentals may be available. Contact the pool to discuss availability and your group's needs.

Make the Pool Part of Your Year

Everyone is welcome at the Sturgis Community Pool. You do not need to be a member to participate in our programs. Annual members receive added benefits, including free access to select programs and $25 off most premium programs.
