Go For The Gold
Our Olympic-themed event gives students a chance to earn a medal at the end of the month. If a child earns 10 points in Accelerated Reader he/she will receive a bronze medal, 25 points earns a silver medal, and 50 points earns a gold medal. A medal “ceremony” will take place during a school assembly in April. Each class will compete with their grade-level peers for a class award. A torch will be placed outside of the classroom with the highest points at the end of each week.
March 3rd - Let the Reading begin!!!
March 7th - No School - Records Day
March 14th - Sports Day - Wear a school appropriate sport shirt/outfit.
March 21st - Read a Hat Day - Wear a hat with school appropriate words.
March 28th - Read and Relax - Pajamas and Slippers Day
Nominate a favorite book for a “gold medal”. Get a form from your teacher and return it to the library. Mrs. Peterson will choose a few to be read on morning announcements.
A special thank you:

*Most importantly, to all of our parents for encouraging your children to read.
