My name is Melissa Wilcox and this is my sixth year teaching in Sturgis Public Schools. I taught 4^th grade at Eastwood Elementary for five years and this will be my first year teaching 2^nd grade. I am excited about joining the wonderful Wenzel family this year. 

I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University in 2005 (Go Broncos!). I am currently working towards my Master’s degree from Spring Arbor University.

My husband and I have one daughter, Katherine, who is 18 months old. She keeps us laughing every day, so I am thankful to spend the other half of my day at home with her. Teaching half-time allows me to spend time doing the two things I love the most. This year, I'm sharing a classroom with Mrs. Thomasma. I will be reading and writing with your child.
