Mrs. Tisdel, First Grade
A little about me...
My name is Lisa Tisdel. I am married and have three awesome children, two daughters and one son. Shelby is eighteen years old. She is a senior at the high school this year. Mikenzie is thirteen and attends Sturgis Middle School. DJ, our youngest, is eight years old and goes to 2nd grade here at Wenzel. We have lived in Sturgis for thirteen years. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, reading, photography and scrapbooking.
I graduated from both Glen Oaks Community College and Western Michigan University, and have Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Elementary Education. I began my teaching career in Bronson, where I taught preschool, kindergarten and third grade. In the fall of 1998, I started my adventure in first grade here at Wenzel. I have been teaching first (and a little bit of second) grade here for 14 years. Time flies when you're having fun! I have been on numerous committees while teaching in Sturgis, including curriculum mapping, updating report cards, and school improvement. I am currently the school improvement chair for Wenzel School.
