I attended Glen Oaks Community College, earning an Associate of Arts degree in 1993. Transferring to Western Michigan University, I studied in the School of Music and College of Education receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in December, 1996. I continued taking classes at WMU, earning a Master of Music degree in April, 2003.
In March of 1997 I was hired by Sturgis Public Schools and began teaching at Congress, Wall and Wenzel. The 2012-13 school year will mark my 16th year full-time in the district. The past fifteen years have been a wonderful time for me. I believe that the study of music offers children a chance to increase their intellectual and academic capabilities. I also believe that music is a great way to tap into our creative side and help kids prepare for the larger world. Most importantly, I believe that our story as human beings can't be fully told without including music.
I look forward to working with your child!
