Eastwood School opened in the Fall of 1994 as a fourth, fifth, and sixth grade building. Financing to build Eastwood came from a successful bond vote to deal with school overcrowding and eliminate four and five room buildings. The Eastwood name was chosen by committee from submissions received from the community. It reflects the location of the school on the east side of town and the views of beautiful trees outlining the fields around the school. In the fall of 2004 Eastwood became the third, fourth, and fifth grade building it is today. Eastwood School has had five principals (Mrs. Hopkins, Mr. Schinderle, Mrs. Evans, Mrs. Smith and presently Mr. Matkin) and one assistant principal (Mr. Smoker).
