2012 Parenting Fair Coordinator: Amanda Eicher
The Sturgis Youth and Family Council began in 1991 as a result of parental concerns about local students and drug use. Sturgis Youth and Family is a community council that
creates and implements programs to help make Sturgis a safer and
greater place to raise children and nurture families.
Our mission
Acknowledging that
the strength
of our community
is based on the partnership of
youth,
family
and community,
we shall
identify needs,
create awareness
and assist efforts to promote
healthy lifestyles,
thus making our community
a more caring
place to live.
Who We Are
The Sturgis Youth and Family Council is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to making Sturgis a healthy and more caring place in which
to live. Our Council holds focus-topic town meetings approximately
three times a year. Any person who has an interest in improving the
social environment of our community is welcome to attend.
Call the office for dates and topic suggestions, 269-659-3664.
A volunteer Board of Directors, consisting of a broad representation of community members, is enthusiastically involved in the everyday activities of our office. The Executive Director works with the Council and the Board of Directors in implementing programs and activities for the youth and families of Sturgis.
