ACT INFORMATION - Encourage your student to check out their website at www.actstudent.org where they will find a wealth of information and services, including:
How to create an ACT Web account, online registration, up-to-date test center listings, access to view scores, information about the optional ACT Writing Test, Sample test questions, information about permitted and prohibited calculators, etc.
 
LOCAL SCHOLARSHIPS ARE NOW AVAILABLE  IN THE GUIDANCE OFFICE.  .  There are over a dozen different ones open.  Make sure you stop in and look them over.  There are club / organizations/ service groups that want to give money to deserving students for college.   Due date for all is March 27, 2015.

Co-Alliance Solutions Scholarship
Seniors who are children or grandchildren of members of a local cooperative in the Co-Alliance Partnership and plan to enter the Agriculture field.  Amount = $1,000.00.  Deadline = March 31, 2015.  Stop into Guidance for details.
Buick Achievers Scholarship Program
Seniors who plan to major in a field of study that focuses on Engineering, Technology or select Design and Business programs, with an interest in the automotive industry.  Amount = can be up to $25,000.00.  Deadline = February 27, 2015.  Stop into Guidance for details.
Michigan Oil and Gas Producers Education Foundation Scholarship
Plan to attend a Michigan university or community college, minimum GPA of 3.0, show financial need.  Must be pursuing a degree in a field of study which will allow them to obtain full-time employment in the crude oil and natural gas industry.  Amount = minimum $500.00.  Deadline = April 2, 2015.  Stop into Guidance for details.
Educational Community Credit Union Scholarship
Seniors with a minimum GPA of 3.0, been a member of ECCU in good standing for at least one year, have been accepted to college / university.  Amount = $1,000.00 or $2,000.00. Deadline = April 1, 2015. Stop into Guidance for details.
Michigan Masonic Charitable Foundation Scholarship
Open to all seniors who will be enrolling in an accredited college,university or trade/vocational school in Fall 2015.  Amount = $500.00.  Deadline = 2:30 p.m.  on Friday, Feb. 27, 2015.  Stop into Guidance for applications.
Glen Oaks Community College Foundation Scholarships
Open to all seniors planning to attend GOCC.  There are several scholarships to apply for.  Amount - = vary with each.  Deadline = Mach 27, 2015.  Stop into Guidance for details
Michigan Education Association Scholarship
Dependent of MEA member or MEA Retired member.  Dollar amounts and number of scholarships not determined.  Deadline = February 27, 2015.  (All information must be in their hands that day) Stop into Guidance for details.
North Central CO-OP Scholarship
Seniors who are active members and have completed at least 5 years in 4-H or 2 years in FFA and have a parent/grandparent that are current stockholders, patrons or employees of North Central Co-Op.  Respectable GPA and good citizen of school and community.  Amount = not specified.  Deadline = March 1, 2015.  Stop into Guidance for details.




Michigan Retailers Association Scholarship
Students who are dependents of owners of MRA businesses or of full-time employees of MRA member firms, or part-time employees of MRA member businesses who are full time students.  Amount = $1,000.00 or $500.00.  Deadline = April 1, 2015.  Stop into Guidance for details.
Rosa Parks Scholarship
Seniors with GPA of 2.5 or above, show leadership, financial need,community service and dedication to the civil rights principles of Rosa Parks.  Amount = $2,000.00.  Deadline = 3/2/15.  Stop into Guidance for details
Kellogg Community College Foundation Scholarship
